A: No, the
plastic material is not toxic, it's as safe as drinking out of a
plastic cup.
Q: "When I boiled my eggs using the eggtimer it gave off a slight
plastic smell, is this normal."
A: Yes this is
normal, the eggtimer does tend to give of a slight plastic smell, but
the smell will disappear after the first 2-3 uses.
